Brigitte Baumann has a portfolio of 41 investments (76 rounds). Brigitte is a keynote speaker, trainer and consultant and focuses on designing educational content for investors, Board members, entrepreneurs and corporates. In May 2015, Brigitte received the European Investor of the Year award from EBAN. In 2017, Brigitte was selected In EY’s European Winning Women Entrepreneur program.
In November 2016 and in 2017, Brigitte is listed as one of Europe’s Top 50 Most Influential Women in the start-up and venture capital space and Top Women in FinTech. Brigitte is President Emeritus of EBAN, the European trade association for Business Angels and Seed Funds and Member of the Board of CTI Start-Up. Brigitte is past Chair of the Global Angel Investing group at Young Presidents Organization (YPO), which currently has 27k CEO’s. Recently Brigitte was recently selected as the new Chair of YPO’s Global Deal Network and is currently work for the World Bank as expert trainer designing and delivering an investment readiness program in Georgia.
Oliver Huggenberger – is Senior Investment Manager and Deputy Head of Start-up Finance at Zürcher Kantonalbank ("ZKB"). Since 2005, ZKB has been one of the most active venture capital investors in Switzerland and has invested its own funds in more than 240 start-ups.
Oliver graduated from ETH Zurich with a Master's degree in Applied Mathematics. As an investment manager, Oliver identifies and acquires interesting investment targets, is responsible for the due diligence process and manages a portfolio of around 35 start-ups. To date, he has been involved in nearly 100 funding rounds from seed to growth stage, including several successful exits (trade sale & IPO). Oliver has a strong passion for enterpreneurship and recently wrote a master thesis on start-up valuation at the University of Zurich.
Prior to joining Start-up Finance in 2016, Oliver was a Country and Credit Risk Manager at ZKB, managing the bank's trade finance and interbanking portfolio in Southern & Eastern Europe and Latin America.
In addition to his professional career, Oliver has worked as a journalist and held several leadership positions in the Swiss military service. He is currently a coach for interpersonal communication at the Swiss Army Management Training Center.
Nils is Investment Director at Swisscanto Private Equity and Member of Senior Management at Zürcher Kantonalbank. Swisscanto Private Equity invests primarily into Swiss growth companies in the expansion phase. Over the last 15 years Zürcher Kantonalbank has established itself as one of the most active investors in Swiss venture and growth companies with investments in over 200 companies.
He has over 14 years of track record investing into technology growth businesses, where he successfully initiated, grown and exited disruptive businesses; ranging from start-ups to over US$150+ million in turnover. He supports outstanding entrepreneurs in realising their global ambitions by leveraging experiences from over 20 company boards, personal network from over 25 years in the tech industry and own entrepreneurial adventures as founder and owner.
Nils holds an MSc in Mechanical Engineering from the Institute of Technology at Linköping University and ENSAM in Paris as well as an MBA from INSEAD, Fontainebleau, France.
Prof. Dr. Peter Lorange is Chairman and CEO of the Lorange Network, which he founded in 2017 to provide business knowledge digitally and a networked community for company owners, entrepreneurial families and larger private investors.
He was formerly owner and President of the Lorange Institute of Business. Prof. Dr. Lorange is a successful entrepreneur and owner of a highly diversified family office with over 25 investment activities, after having sold his shipping company in 2006.
He is also regarded as one of the world's most foremost business school academics.
